Hi ho, Hi ho, its back to work we go... University isn't all bad, it was rather nice to come back to my own place and see everyone again. However, that first 9am class brought reality crashing back down around my ears. I have to get working!!
Speaking of work, i just got offered my dream summer job! A company made the decision to be more involed in the community and is very interested in sending their employees to participate in overseas projects. They have potentially offered me the position as consultant to assess the current culture of the company and feel of the employees whether or not the idea is feasible and how it should be approached. Then i would need to make contacts with International organizations to draw up a plan as to how this could be done.
May not sound like the best job to you, but think about it... This involves travel, business, and international development work, my three main interests!! And the pay is quite good as well. It is also impressive to see a company taking the initiative to look outside and realize the amount of good they could be doing in the world, and then to actually take that step is a HUGE deal! If only more organizations had the gumption to do so...
